Thank you for visiting my website. I began sewing when my Grandmother introduced me to embroidery at the age of 12. My first project was a pillow case with a horse and she was horrified when I insisted on stitching it in bright red embroidery floss. I made my first skirt soon after when my Mom introduced me to her 1950's singer sewing machine. Now almost 50 years later I still enjoy taking chances with design resulting in truly unique creations. Most recently I have become captivated with garment re-styling. A lovely retro wedding dress can be re-styled into an elegant contemporary gown or a beautiful heirloom christening gown. Papa's favorite shirt can be re-styled into a charming dress or a little boy's romper. Heirloom table lace or other vintage linens can be re-styled into lovely dresses, skirts or tops.
I created this "living red carpet" for a hotel-casino opening. The red carpet entrance into the main ball room is actually the 200 foot train of this scarlet satin evening gown.
Whether a re-styling project, elegant one-of-a-kind gown, costume, or something a bit more tame, I have the experience, creativity and skills to design and sew a truly unique creation - a creation of superior quality and craftsmanship that will reflect your unique style .
